As part of 1 of the largest training projects of the Armed Forces of Poland – the Federation of "Iron Defender-25" exercises – soldiers 3 of the Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade since 1 September 2025 support operating troops securing, among others, the passage of military transports in their Permanent work Division (SRO). The General Staff urges: don't do and print pictures of military columns – instead, greet the soldiers with a gesture.
Soldiers from the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defence Brigade execute tasks in their SRO providing freedom of manoeuvre to military columns of the 21st Podhalan firearm Brigade. At the same time, they carry out protective actions against sub-divisions from the 1st Tank Brigade and the 19th Mechanized Brigade – through surveillance and patrolling.
As part of operational support, soldiers from the 3rd Podkarpackie OT Brigade conduct reconnaissance, display reflection posts and safe selected locations on designated routes.
The actions of the 3 PBOT soldiers are an essential component of wider manoeuvres aimed at checking the interoperability and readiness of the Polish Armed Forces to conduct coordinated defence activities, including under the Tarcza East programme.
The “Iron Defender-25” is 1 of the biggest exercises of the SZ of Poland in 2025 – more than 30,000 soldiers from Poland and NATO interact perfectly on land, sea, air and cyberspace. besides active are the Territorial defence Army, including the 3th Podkarpackie OT Brigade, which will take part in tactical action in the fresh Deba area from September 13 to 18, 2025, as part of an episode of the "Fire Storm-25" exercise.
