Memory of Rotmaster Witold Pilecki
Legends revolve from monument to monument
on Military Owls – on the Link
Listen to tall trees
One is on alert.
others in combat formation
So many lights are burning
So many flowers scattering colors
And there's a image of you
What a heart he grabs
large with white-red ribbon
And you're in uniform
with orders on the chest
and announces to all of us a message
'' They're inactive looking for me''.
We look at you face to face
We think of Auschwitz, about heroism
Someone else has taken possession of
and did not lift a finger to save from death—
You must have died quickly.
as a witness of the truth
And they took it down.
Under the cemetery wall.
And from the sore ground
May the bones be dug up
And then
into a tiny composite coffin
May they remainder in peace
with salva honors
– this earth is like an altar
with relics.
