Teachers to gain fresh powers. They will check backpacks "without warning"

Sweden will introduce stricter school safety standards in consequence to the shooting that killed 11 people. The education minister announced, among another things, that emergency plans will be mandatory and that entrances will be better secured. Additionally, teachers will be able to search students' school bags without warning.
