Tarnów light infantry mortars

One of the most effective means of fire support for mechanized, aeromobile, airborne troops, mountain infantry and territorial defence troops is mortar. It occurs depending on the kind of troops in number respectively: at squad or section level - 1, platoon - 3, company (battery) 6 to 8. The main component differentiating mortars from classical artillery is the angle of firing of the shell, which for mortars ranges from 45° to 85°.
