"80 percent of abrupt cardiac arrests happen outside the hospital, and the usage of AED within minutes of the event can increase the chances of endurance to up to 70 percent," argued Rafał Brzoska on LinkedIn. They will be available regular for 24 hours – as he writes – in large cities, smaller towns and agrarian areas. Let us clarify that defibrillation is simply a procedure involving conducting an electrical pulse through the heart muscle. It aims to halt chaotic electrical impulses that disturb the appropriate functioning of the heart, and let it to return to average rhythm.
