“We cannot choose a neighbor, but we can choose a friend. Taiwan believes that Ukraine needs not only financial support, but above all partners who share the same values – freedom, solidarity and common respect. We want to be a sincere friend and reliable partner for Ukraine, ready to share knowledge, technology and experience."

Technology as a key to reconstruction

Deputy Minister Cynthia Kiang stressed that Taiwan sees the reconstruction of Ukraine as a space for innovation, cooperation and sustainable development:

"Taiwan is willing to support the reconstruction of Ukraine through innovation and global cooperation. We believe that technology is the key to rebuilding modern, safe and green societies. With our cognition and experience, we can build a future based on trust and common values."

Among the exhibitors were ASUS, MICROIP, Creative Sensor, FREE Bionics, TECO electrical & Machinery and OSCAR E.D.M.

Partnership across borders

The event was besides attended by representatives of Ukrainian local governments who stressed that cooperation with Taiwan was not only a technological exchange, but besides a relation based on shared democratic values and trust.

On the question of what technologies are most needed present in the process of rebuilding Ukrainian cities, Vladyslav Skalsky, Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia replied:

"From my perspective, digital technologies will be the most crucial for rebuilding Ukraine. They offer the chance to make full digital infrastructure and then integrate all urban services into a single system."

Such an approach combining information technologies, public services and city management fits perfectly into the motto of the Taiwan Pavilion: "Smart Innovation, Global Connection".

Taiwan Pavilion on ReBuild Ukraine 2025 has become a symbol of the solidarity, cooperation and technological support Taiwan offers Ukraine and the full region of Central and east Europe.
