Taiwan for first time with U.S. military aid for sovereign states

On Tuesday, the State Department informed legislature of a package of $80m in aid to Taiwan. Compared to the much larger tranche, approved in July ($345 million), Washington's latest military aid to Taipei is the first instance in which it will be delivered straight utilizing the FMF program. This program is typically utilized to supply loans or grants to governments of sovereign states.
