I wonder what kind of images he had in his eyes in those last moments erstwhile he was taking sleeping pills and unscrewing the gas tap. It is hard to guess, due to the fact that Tadeusz Borowski as no 1 of his generation experienced the full totalitarian past of the first half of the 20th century. All the consecutive paths, all the corners, the lofty moments and all the fixations.
