Switzerland is simply a country known for its very accurate watches. Unfortunately, for many years there has been an utmost leftist ideology, which this time takes on precise social engineering. In that society There was an idea. the introduction by parliament of a top-down population simplification to 10 million inhabitants by 2050. Why? due to the fact that if you can adjust your watch or another inflation, why not the number of babies born? The vote is scheduled to take place on 14 June.
Switzerland has set a population limit of 10 million. The initiative assumes that the number of permanent residents must not exceed the magic limit of 10 million. In practice, this means reducing immigration and even possibly breaking the free movement agreement. Sounds serious and not bad for defending national interest. But calmly – the most interesting before us. due to the fact that while migration control is something you can effort to manage, human biology control begins to match an experimentation from the borderline of russian absurdity.
Imagine this scene: the metre strikes 9 999 998 inhabitants. In hospitals all over the country, a red light turns on: “Please hold births until further notice”. Doctors with calculators, obstetricians with Excel instructions, and parents are in line for limited sneakers. If a threshold is simply a threshold, it must be respected, like a Swiss watch.
Will there be a peculiar office for surplus infants? possibly the "reserve register" where the children will wait for individual to die and release the seat? Sarcasm is indicated here, but in fact the problem is serious, due to the fact that here we have another effort to set the population administratively from the line, which was not dreamt of by fascists or communists. Modern fascism wants to act as a watch mechanics – to be predictable, linear and obedient. Meanwhile, demography is truly chaos: migration, crises, economical change and – worst for planners – people make their own decisions. I think it hurts the globalists the most.
The Government of Switzerland, which, nevertheless, is not very sympathetic to the fresh idea, warns that specified restrictions could harm the economy and relations with the European Union. The economy, contrary to appearances, likes people, especially those who work, pay taxes and – by horror – sometimes want to have children. But let's get back to the point, which is the thought of a maximum number of citizens. It is simply a concept tempting with its simplicity, but besides a totalitarian anesthetic. The reality does not read the laws and average people do not go to bed with the printed limit of fertility. Unfortunately for the left, biology has a terrible habit of ignoring dysmocracy.
And here's a question that no of the postulators of the referendum formally asks, but which is asked to talk out: What would the Swiss do if they were born with a fewer children besides much above the $10 million limit? Will there be a draw? Newborn deportation? Or possibly they'll introduce a citizenship subscription that expires after 80 years, so delight don't exceed the limit?
