The region medical institution has been participating in the military-friendly infirmary program since March.

– The territory infirmary in Nowa Dęba is 1 of respective twelve in Poland participating in the “Military-friendly Hospitals” program, including facilities that support the civilian population and soldiers surviving in the area during the peace, and in the event of a threat they become key facilities for the army”, said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a gathering with the staff and staff of the hospital.

As the head of the MON added, thanks to his participation in the program, the infirmary has late received a modern 64-row computer tomograph from Philips. The device, worth nearly PLN 2.6 million, was transferred to the facility by the Government strategical Reserve Agency at the request of the Podkarpackie voivodship and thanks to the advice of the Defence Ministry.

Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that the investment in the recently opened Computer Tomography laboratory is crucial not only for the inhabitants of the region, but besides for Polish soldiers and allies. There are 3,000 uniforms and civilians working in the close Police Training Centre, and respective 1000 soldiers from Poland, the USA, the Czech Republic and Ukraine practice regular at the camp.

– The fresh oak is intended to become a place of crucial medical investment. We'll build a psych ward, as well as operating rooms. We want the facility to be ready not only for regular care, but besides for crisis situations – the Deputy Prime Minister announced.

The "Military-friendly Hospitals" programme provides for strengthening Poland's wellness safety strategy by close military and civilian wellness cooperation, introducing better wellness care for soldiers and their families and preparing civilian hospitals in case of war or crisis. For now, 25 medical institutions have joined the project, mainly from the east of the country.
