Trump stated that America "was foolish erstwhile she gave Denmark to Greenland after planet War II". The president of the United States besides stated that if it had not been for his country, the Danes would have “speaking German now”.
"We ask for immediate negotiations to discuss Greenland's takeover of the US. We will most likely not get anything without force, but I will not,” the American president announced. He stressed that if America had utilized force to take over the Arctic island, “it would have been unstoppable.” He besides stated that the U.S. is not asking for much – just a "piece of ice" because, as the American president said, Greenland is "hard to call land".
"We most likely won't get anything unless I decide to usage excessive force – and force where, frankly, we would be unstoppable. But I won't. (...) The United States is treated very unfairly by NATO. I want to tell you... and no 1 can question it: we give so much, and we receive so small in return. All we ask is to get Greenland, including ownership, due to the fact that ownership is needed to defend it. A part of ice, please. (...) This is simply a very tiny request compared to what we have given them for many, many decades," Trump said.
Trump: Canada lives by the United States
In the context of Greenland, Trump besides spoke of the "Golden Copule" – a task of a comprehensive "missile shield" that would cover the full of North America. He besides referred to Kandy, who, in the opinion of the president of the United States, is not “thankful” for getting “many things for free” from the United States. As an example, the Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney quoted yesterday, who stated that the order of the planet guaranteed by the U.S. is "breaking in front of us."
"He was not very grateful. But they should be grateful to the United States and Canada. Canada lives by the United States. Remember this, Mark, the next time you make your statements," he addressed the Prime Minister of Canada.
