Szlezak: Jubilee of Polish Thought

I was diagnosed with cancer. In about 2 weeks, I'll know how much more I can live. I'm afraid about this, and this is the 80th anniversary of the uprising. “Polish Thoughts”. I have been active with “Think” since the transfer from England to Poland. I totally can't remember erstwhile my first text came out. I was a shorttime writer in 2000. erstwhile I became president of Stalowa Wola, I did not print texts, but I tried to support the writing. I've never been 1 of the people deciding his political line. I besides had no influence on who and what they published. I didn't even have that kind of ambition. For a good fewer years, editor-in-chief Jan Engelgard publishes my texts, which I previously compose on my page on the face book. It may seem that my relationships with “Thinking Poland” are rather loose, but personally I feel powerfully connected with both writing and an environment wider than the editorial office itself.
Throughout all these years “Think” went through various railroads, sometimes dramatic. She brought together different people, mostly different ones, and not lacking prominent characters. It would be good for a monograph to be created showing the destiny of the writings and the people making them up, as well as the meanders of political thought, which was created and presented in "Think" for those 85 years.
For me, “Think Poland” was and is an endecimal letter. Endecki in the sense and accord with the tradition dating back to the beginning of the National Democracy. I think I'm the end of the bone myself. I consider the political thought of the intention to be the most valuable in the achievements of Polish political thought in general, but I am far from monopolizing Polish political life. Any political thought can make if confronted with other directions. In this I see the sense of constantly issuing “Polish Thought”. In spite of many opinions, I do not think that the endectic political thought of present has lost its right to be. It's the opposite. If you look at what is happening in Poland and with Poland, not only in the political dimension, but besides in the political dimension, which emphasizes the knowing and implementation of the Polish national interest, is necessary. It is besides crucial that this endeck thought be present in the processes of creating and sustaining those values which are mixed in the concept of Polish cultural code.
"Think Poland" – as the title of the magazine indicates – is primarily a thought, creative intellectual work on creating in time and space the prosperity of the Polish people. I realize prosperity here as both material prosperity and cultural and moral prosperity as well as political strength, guaranteeing life within the safe borders of the Polish state. This is how I see my function as a co-worker of Thoughts. It is likely that the forms of writing will vary depending on the method forms of mass media. I hope above all that the message “Polish Thought” will not change and will continue.
Currently, ‘Think’ does not play a leading function among intellectual centres influencing Polish political life. However, it is simply a sighting center that cannot be underestimated and silenced. In writings, I may disagree. However, against the background of the deficiency of pluralism in various leading media “Think Poland” stands out positively in this respect. Equally crucial to me is that “Think” has departed from the division into the right and left, which divide in Polish political life does not explain anything and does not order anything.
At the end of my request to briefly summarize the beautiful jubilee of “Polish Thoughts”, I hope and want my colleagues more and more readers, listeners and supporters of the thought message, who will be able to transform the thought of Polish national interest into a real arrangement of Polish political, economical and cultural life. I would like to be part of these activities both at the phase of creating thoughts and of putting them into applicable solutions at the level of self-government. That's what you gotta live for, and that's what it's got to be about. possibly it will.
A Do you think that an endeck thought is needed in Polish political life?
