I've been impressed with the public tv theatre for days. It was “The Visit of the Old Lady” by Frederick Durrenmatt. As in the fog, I remember presenting this play respective decades ago with Barbara Krafftówna and Henry Borowski in the lead roles.
I was besides young, and so besides stupid to realize the meaning of "A Visit to an Old Lady". Now this sense has become as clear to me as tragic. So I will briefly present the content of the play, which fits – and indeed – into the political situation in which Poland is now.
Here comes an old woman who, many years ago, was hurt and humiliated, left this town and now returned to take revenge. Her revenge is refined and cruel. She bought out all the businesses that kept the town. In fact, she deliberately bankrupted them. erstwhile the town’s unconscious authorities learned that a erstwhile resident was to visit them, they hoped that a billionaire would save them and invest immense amounts. A billionaire, yes, has promised immense money, but provided that the community of the town kills a fine citizen who hurt her most years ago. She simply bribed almost everyone, and the force of the community led to the reconciliation of this noble citizen with the fact that he should be killed and killed.
In the town, its authorities, its inhabitants and the fine citizen to be killed, I saw Poland in the European Union. The European Union is in a bankrupt situation, hoping to be saved. It is known that she must number on someone's favour and will gotta accept the execution of 1 of her noble inhabitants. This is not about Ukraine, due to the fact that it is more like 1 of the companies that went bankrupt. It'll be individual who's best suited for revenge. In the EU-Russia conflict, nobody is better suited for revenge than Poland. I have already written that Poland is perfect for Russia's aggression. It is large adequate and at the same time weak, and the rulers run a hopelessly stupid rusophobic policy so that the Russians have an easy triumph. I am certain that EU and UK leaders, if Russia push hard enough, they will be intimidated and bribed, like the authorities and the community of the town in Durrenmatt's art. What about murdering a good citizen? It's simple. Poland will be sent to war with Russia. There can be different ways to do that. The worst thing is that the ruling in Poland, like this noble citizen, are already convinced that participation in war is inevitable.
I'm not certain who's gonna be the old woman who's coming to visit us. At first glance, they should be Russians. They have more than adequate reason for revenge. They are able to bribe Western Europe and convince its elite to quit Poland. They may be able to convince Donald Trump of the same thing. The Kurds and the Afghan authorities supported by the West, until they know besides well how Americans can abandon their allies overnight. Then the old woman will most likely come from the Kremlin. But not necessarily.
Paradoxically, an old woman may already be here, and to execution a noble citizen, it is adequate to take distant what she has expected to give to make a good citizen feel safe. A fine citizen does not think that an old woman does not care and thinks only about securing her interests. I can't think of it right now, but on the another hand, I can't regulation it out that the Americans are going to let the Russians reconstruct the influence of the U.S.S.R. at the price of breaking up with China. In the end, the alliance with China is simply a matrimony of common sense to the Russians, which they are burdened with, and in fact, China is afraid due to the fact that they are actually threatened by it. For example, Americans do not have territorial claims against Russians, and China does. In total, there are respective reasonably real scenarios for the disastrous improvement of events for Poland. Unfortunately, it's hard to imagine these good scenarios. The political interstate situation for Poland has been badly damaged. A visit from an old woman seems inevitable to me. Not good.
