Head of the EC: strategy of the European defence industry, coordination of orders for the military

NATO plays a key function in ensuring security, but Europe must take greater work for defence matters, said the participants of the yearly conference of the European Defence Agency (EDA). European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen announced a strategy for the European defence industry. She called for the coordination of arms procurement. The head of EU diplomacy, Charles Michel, advocated issuing EU bonds to finance European defence.
