Almost a year has passed since Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met nipponese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Brussels. The subject of the talks was Russia's aggression into Ukraine. Today, the leaders of the states met again. They continued on the subject of the current situation in Ukraine and multidimensional support for the country in the fight against Russian aggressor. – A fresh geopolitical order is being born before our eyes. The safety of Japan and Poland has abruptly become a phenomenon that needs to be discussed at the same time in relation to threats in Asia and Europe," said the Prime Minister after the talks with the Prime Minister of Japan.

The Prime Minister pointed out that countries who think likewise about peace, stableness and freedom must work very closely together. He announced that the next European Council would item Japan's function in restoring stableness in our region and worldwide. He besides thanked the Prime Minister of Japan for his visit to Kiev, as he stressed, it is simply a clear proof and a symbol of support for Ukraine's ambitions, for plans to keep sovereignty, territorial integrity, for the defence of freedom and democracy.

The Prime Minister of Japan expressed his deep thanks and respect for Poland, which supports Ukraine militarily and humanitarianly, standing in the front line. At the same time, he informed that due to the expanding burden on Poland due to Russia's prolonged aggression against Ukraine, Japan decided to treat Poland as the recipient of authoritative improvement assistance.

Economic, business and investment cooperation is developing perfectly

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed good relations between our countries besides in terms of economic, investment and infrastructure cooperation. He reminded that he had late participated in the beginning of another highly technologically advanced investment of the nipponese company in Poland.

He besides thanked the Prime Minister of Japan for being so committed to safety matters as well – this is highly crucial to us. I am glad that Poland and Japan strengthen their bonds of relationship and cooperation," he pointed out.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida pointed out that Poland and Japan agreed to further deepen cooperation in many areas specified as: fitting, cyberspace, space and telecommunications – based on the defence cooperation memorandum signed last February.

Japan is 1 of the most crucial political and economical partners of Poland in the Asia-Pacific region. In February 2015, our relations were raised to the level of the strategical Partnership. There are presently more than 350 nipponese companies in Poland – mainly in the manufacturing industry.

– We would like to further strengthen cooperation in fresh areas specified as gas-cooled high-temperature reactors, clean coal and hydrogen technologies, concluded the Prime Minister of Japan.
