During his visit to Poland, NATO secretary-general met with the Polish Prime Minister before noon. During a joint conference Donald Tusk said that their talks concerned, among others, the safety of Poland and Europe, in the context of ongoing negotiations on the end of the war in Ukraine.
Tusk stressed that the situation in Ukraine has a direct impact on the safety of Poland and the full continent. He besides noted that Europe's influence on the ongoing negotiations was limited. For this reason NATO and Poland must be ready for different scenarios that are not entirely dependent on their decisions.
Stable confirmation that NATO is obliged to defend Poland in any critical situation is very crucial to us said Tusk.
The Prime Minister assessed that peace in Ukraine must guarantee its full sovereignty, as only this will give a sense of safety to another countries. We will work very closely together on a good peace in Ukraine – he added.

Donald Tusk reported that the conversation with Mark Rutte besides active actions within the framework of Baltic Guard and the function of NATO in the European context. Meeting with the president and the head of the MON
Following a gathering with Prime Minister Rutte, he was adopted by president Andrzej Duda at the Presidential Palace.
