Iran's abroad Minister Abbas Aragchi stated on Monday in Moscow that he had a "good meeting" with Vladimir Putin. He explained that they discussed "consequences for the region", resulting from US attacks on Iran's uranium enrichment facilities.
"During the gathering in detail We've discussed what's happening now.. Together we are afraid about the consequences for the region, the global community and the non-proliferation government (nuclear weapons)" - said Aragchi of the Iranian state agency IRNA.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Pieskov stated that Putin and Aragchi discussed "various issues (...) in the context of possible prospects of reaching the peace trail".
Earlier, erstwhile we greet Putin in the Kremlin, Aragchi thanked him for condemning the American attack on Iran's uranium enrichment facilities. He stated that Russia stands "on the right side of history". He assured that Tehran was acting in legitimate self-defense.
Visiting Moscow
He besides informed that Iran's president Masud Peseškan and the ultimate spiritual and political leader, Ayatollah Ali Chamenei asked him to give Putin his best wishes.
Putin stated at the beginning of the talks that there was "aggression against Iran", which is "absolutely unprovoked", "unwarrant and unjust". He added that Russia's position on this issue "is well known". Moscow "is making efforts to aid the Iranian people" - he said.
The United States attacked 3 Iranian uranium enrichment plants in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan on the weekend. In a message delivered on Saturday late evening (on Sunday morning in Poland), U.S. president Donald Trump reported that these targets were "scored to the ground". He called upon Iran to enter into peace, threatening much stronger attacks.
