Deputy Prime Minister, head of the MON Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish assured on Wednesday that Polish soldiers were helping in those countries where they are, and if aid to evacuate the mediate East countrymen will require their support, it will be provided.
– All Polish military contingents, more than 400 soldiers (...), are inactive in the state of the highest safety clauses, the highest levels of security, with a limitation on the performance of their mandate missions," said Kosiniak-Kamish at the mediate East coordination squad meeting.
He mentioned that it was the Polish contingents in Turkey, Iraq and Jordan, as well as Lebanon as part of the UN mission on the border with Israel.
The head of the MON stressed that soldiers, commanders and Polish military representatives "are helping there, in those countries where they are, and (...) if evacuation assistance requires their support and commitment, this will be the support provided".
On the another hand, in terms of transport support, it is besides planned, as indicated by the head of the MON, but it will only be undertaken erstwhile "the launch and landing possibilities are safe adequate for the full operation to take place". “So that there is no situation in which our planes will arrive, but they will not be able to return,” Kosiniak-Kamish said.
