The head of the National safety Bureau Bartosz Grodecki assessed that the assassination of a 44-year-old Russian citizen in White Podlaska requires a full and thorough explanation.
"The assassination in White Podlaska requires a full and thorough investigation. If the political background of this crime is confirmed, we will face another manifestation of the escalation of Russia's activities outside its borders. It was established that the victim of the Russian hatchets was Robert K., appearing publically under the pseudonym Simon Skrepecki. According to the prosecutor's office, the man was an artist criticizing in his work the authorities of the Russian Federation.
Two Belarusian citizens aged between 33 and 37 were detained in connection with the case. They were captured close the Belarusian consulate in Biała Podlaska – investigators are checking their possible connection to the crime. So far no charges have been filed, and the D.A.'s office does not regulation out further detentions.
