The message that the Elysée Palace shared was very concise. The gathering of European leaders with the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski in London allowed for the continuation of the "joint work on the American plan" of peace for Ukraine. The gathering was attended by: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French president Emmanuel Macron. As highlighted in the French Presidency Communication, the aim is to complement the proposal put forward by the United States for a European contribution, in close coordination with Kiev.
