NATO Parliamentary Presidents' Summit

A summit of the Presidents of the NATO associate States was held in Brussels on 19 and 20 June. The gathering took place on the eve planned on 24-25 June at the Hague Summit of Heads of State and Government of NATO. The leaders of the alliance states' parliaments jointly celebrated the 70th anniversary of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, highlighting the importance of the Alliance's values and objectives and the achievements of 7 decades of parliamentary cooperation for transatlantic solidarity. The gathering exposed the parliamentary dimension of NATO and allowed exchanges of views on key priorities for the Alliance at a crucial minute for Europe and North America. Poland was represented by president of the delegation of the Sejm and the Polish legislature to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly – Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska and Vice-President of the Delegation – Tomasz Grodzki.
