US rocket systems will strengthen Taiwan's air defence; China reacts

The Taipei Ministry of defence estimated that the U.S. decision to sale $1.16 billion worth of rocket systems to Taiwan would strengthen the country's air defence forces - the Taiwan News portal reported on Sunday. On the same day, the Chinese army conducted a “test of combat readiness” around the island.
