The two-proprt strategy is breaking. British Tories with evidence low support

In the latest YouGov poll of 20 May 2025, the Conservative organization fell 4th with only 16% of support – this is the worst consequence since the brexit crisis in 2019. The UK improvement came to the lead with 29% – a group that was marginal a fewer years ago, and present changes the political scenery of Britain.

Reform UK, led by Nigel Farage, took over the speech stick of the protest. It attracts not only erstwhile Conservative organization voters, but besides disappointed Labour organization supporters. About a 3rd of the people who voted for Conservatives in 2019 moved their support to the UK Reform. Among the Labour organization electorate, this percent is 9%. It's not just data – it's a signal of increasing anger towards the establishment.

Farage and his group besides had crucial success in local elections. They dominated many local governments, winning tickets at the expense of both conservatives and liberal democrats. Their message is simple and direct – against mass immigration, bureaucracy and "elites detached from reality". The UK improvement acts as a catalyst for the frustration of voters who feel abandoned by the political order of the past.

There's a panic increasing in the Conservative Party. Kemi Badenoch's organization leader loses confidence, not only among MPs, but above all in the field. Activists are considering trying to get her out of power. Although formally protected by the organization mechanism, the unwritten regulation clearly states: if the polls do not improve, leadership will become untenable. Many conservative Members are already talking about the request for a "total reset" strategy – but no 1 knows what it would mean.

The current crisis is not just a staff problem. The Conservative organization is in an perfect deadlock. On the 1 hand, it must compete with the increasingly extremist transmission of the UK Reform. On the another hand, any effort to decision to the right threatens to lose average voters who can sail to the Liberals or stay home. The organization is stuck between its own heritage and the fresh language of politics, which is already written by individual else – Nigel Farage.

The current situation shows that British policy is entering a fresh phase. The two-party strategy is breaking. UK improvement is not a temporary anomaly – it is simply a symptom of deep change. If Conservatives do not find an effective answer, they can be pushed into the function of marginal force in the British parliament. And that would be a historical change.
