The axionormative strategy in Poland is fiction.

Theoretically, in Poland we have a beautiful axionormative system.

So beautiful, it's textbook.
The combination of lofty values with standards to be fulfilled.
Dignity. Freedom. Justice. It's a common good. Solidarity.
It's all written down. All named. Everything in the Constitution.

Paper will take anything.

The 1997 Constitution was to be the foundation.
Preamble – systemic poetry.
Articles – a catalogue of rights, freedoms and obligations.
Rule of law. Human dignity. The boundaries of power.

Theoretically.

Because in practice, the axionormative strategy acts like theatrical decoration.
Nice facade. Deep words. Smart quotes.
Pulled out of your pocket only erstwhile they fit the current narrative.
Put it back erstwhile they start disturbing.

The dignity of man—if man is "our."
Lawfulness – if the sentences are convenient.
Common good – if it coincides with organization business.
Constitution – Holy Book, but only on selected pages.

Beautiful system.
Beautiful fucking beautiful.
Like an thought everyone knows by heart,
But not many people take it seriously.
And even little – it uses erstwhile it truly costs.
