Saturday morning (6 December) began very nervously for 9 municipalities in Lubartów County. It was there at 5:30 that the alarm sirens sounded informing of an attack from the air. The informing that could origin a heart attack was just a false alert.

It was 5:30 a.m. erstwhile alarm sirens sounded in Lubartów, Ostrów Lubelski, Uscimów, Firlej, Michów, Kamionce, Abramów, Jezorzanów and Bears. They were launched after the worker of the Regional Centre for Crisis Management misunderstood the message.

The alarm sirens in Lubartów cried for nothing. The case will be cleared.

The sirens were launched after an worker of the Regional Emergency Management Centre "streaming road" received information about an immediate threat from the air from another district. Shortly after that, he moved on and after a minute the alarm sounded throughout the district.

But the problem was that it was unnecessary. Information about the immediate threat was not confirmed by the Provincial Emergency Management Centre. It turns out there was a threat message at this point, but not an immediate one. It was only after the information was verified that the alarm was cancelled.

The full situation had to do with subsequent night attacks by Russia in Ukraine. Due to Putin's usage of unmanned ships around 4:00 a.m. in the morning, Poland picked up fighters to defend the safety of our borders if necessary. Ultimately, no enemy object was found in the Polish airspace.

Krzysztof Gawkowski comments on the confusion around the alarm sirens

– Situations that may affect dangers are always subject to a peculiar analysis, and in this case it will be so," commented Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization, of Lubartów County. He besides added that Poland is constantly under constant attack, so "nothing can be excluded, nor turned a blind eye anywhere".

Krzysztof Komorski besides reacted to Saturday's confusion. He announced that a video conference would be held on Monday 8 December, during which there would be a reminder of the SPO-13 procedure, which is initiated in an emergency situation from the air.
