Swyridenko will represent Ukraine in Gdansk. Zelenski won't show

The 15th Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Poland and Ukraine will be held in the Town Hall of Gdańsk. According to the agenda prepared by the Media Service Office, the delegations of both countries will be officially welcomed at 13.45 p.m., while the beginning of the gathering is scheduled for 14.15 p.m. After the beginning part, appropriate deliberations will begin, which will be held without media participation.

The parliamentary gathering is 1 of the events preceding the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference (URC 2026), scheduled for 25 and 26 June in Gdańsk. Representatives of governments, ministers and the heads of global financial institutions are to participate in the event. The key subject of the talks will be further economical and military support for Ukraine.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk previously informed that about 200 agreements and agreements were prepared for the conference, many of which concern direct Polish-Ukrainian cooperation. He besides stressed the importance of further developing relations between the 2 countries.

No Zelenski

Before the event there were speculations about the participation of the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski in the context of fresh tensions in the relations between Warsaw and Kiev. It was yet confirmed that the Ukrainian leader would not come to Gdańsk.

URC 2026 program

The conference programme was divided into 5 main areas: economy, safety and defence, European integration, regional improvement and human capital issues.

The economical debates on investment opportunities of Ukraine and modernisation of the agricultural sector were announced by Minister of Finance Andrzej Domanski, president of the planet Bank Ajay Banga and Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and improvement Odile Renaud-Basso.

The panel on the cooperation of the defence industries of Ukraine and the European Union will be attended by Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk and EU Commissioner for Defence Andrius Kubilius. The main events will besides be accompanied by manufacture forums dedicated to the reconstruction of transport infrastructure and public-private cooperation with the participation of Polish companies.
