On 12 November 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Krakow there will be a performance of patriotic songs on the occasion of the independency Day. This year's performance “Mixhian Choir” is organized under the motto “The Wings of Freedom”.
The independency concerts have already permanently entered the past of the Mixed Mariański Choir, as well as the artistic map of Krakow. They were initiated by the late conductor of Dr. Jan Rybarski's late squad and then continued by Marcin Miotelka. This year the choir prepared the fresh squad manager, Tomasz Ślusarczyk.
The performance was covered by the honorary patronage of Fr. Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski, as well as the state of Małopolska, Łukasz Kmita.
The Mariański Choir promotes choral music not only in the Kraków environment. He took part in many concerts and competitions in and outside the country. With his performances, he graced the roses with spiritual and state celebrations in the country and abroad. The choir was well known to Pope John Paul II. During his pontificate, he hosted 9 times at general audiences in St Peter's Square in Rome and Castel Gandolfo. He besides sang a performance in the Clementine Hall in the presence of the Pope.
W For many years the choir has been singing during the main procession of God's Body. He takes part in concerts organized in our city by both spiritual and secular cultural institutions. He provided a musical setting during the Mass inaugurating the first word of the president of Poland, Mr Andrzej Duda, and most late during the celebration of the 100th anniversary of entrusting the Polish Nation to the Most Holy Heart of Jesus in the Basilica of the NSPJ oo.
This year, the Choir invites one more time to celebrate independency together. It is needed present to not forget that it is simply a value that is not given erstwhile and for all. It must be cared for by building a culture of peace. So we want to make the most beautiful patriotic songs, which during our past accompanied Poles and raised their spirit in hard times of history. These works were and proceed to be an crucial component of national identity and culture.
During the performance there will be: Mixed Choir of Marianski prepared by Tomasz Ślusarczyk, orchestra of the Krakow Young Philharmonic, which is composed by students of the State Schools of Music. Mieczysław Karłowicz in the second degree in Krakow, led by Tomasz Chmiel and excellent soloists of the Kraków music scene: Magda Niedbała-Solarz – mezzosoprano, Mariusz Solarz – tenor, Piotr Kwinta – baritone, Adam Dobek – baritone. The performance will be performed under the baton of Tomasz Chmiel.
