The festival of independency with the eye of Magna Polonia
Behind us is another installment of the independency Day organized by the Monarchical-Reactive Union, as well as by a number of another institutions forming part of the organizational committee of this crucial initiative. This time the celebration took place on 4 October, though the first date of the declaration of independency by Regency Council The Polish Monitor is on 7 October.
However, the amendment of the deadline was full justified as it was on Saturday before the anniversary. It would be much harder to organize a celebration in a week. Unfortunately, a akin situation is expected next year.
The independency Day of the Kingdom of Poland was divided into 2 parts. Shortly after the Mass, 3 short speeches took place as part of the started picket. Mr Zimny, who referred to the thought of the Polish Crown in his speech, was the first to speak.
Then the patron Marcin Ivanowski reminded the gathered that without the designation of Christ the King there would be no return of any monarchy. He besides raised issues of the demographic crisis. Erwin Trinkus was the last to speak, sharing his reflection on the low support for democracy among young people. Which could be a good trailer.
The full assembly then succeeded from the monument under the column of Zygmunt III Vasa. On the main banner was the motto: “The king’s homeland is restored, Lord!” He was followed by the marchers. Among them there were many Polish flags. Not only modern, but besides historical, which referred to the top moments in our history.
During the march, many slogans were heard, among them: “Poland right! Restaurant!”, “Democracy kills us”, “We want a king”, “Poland fresh – religion”, “Republic for a Dumpster” and many, many others, with which content is hard to argue.
In Castle Square under the column there were another occurrences, planned for this occasion. They were followed by a break so that participants could, for example, eat a meal, after which a further part of the celebration was resumed.
The second part of the festival continued at the Stańczyk Club, where the gathered could perceive to occasional lectures. The thematic conference was followed by prof. Jacek Bartyzel (despite the first plans he did not come to the event and gave the lecture in a distant form), Dr hab. Paweł Skrzidlewski, Charles A. Coulombe (a talker who came to the conference especially from the USA), Andrzej Kozicki and Piotr Doerre.
I am glad that I had my modest participation in the 6th edition of the independency Day of the Kingdom of Poland. Next year, another installment of this event. Let us come even more!
