At the conclusion of 27 February in Slovenia of the global Winter AI Olympiad
(IAIO 2026) Polish advanced school students won many trophies, and Szczecinin David Kot won a prestigious gold medal, placing himself at the top of the planet ranking.
In the IAIO 2026 (International Winter AI Olympiad) competition, 95 of the most talented young programmers participated
from respective twelve countries of the world. The level of competition was highly balanced – the final classification in the top part of the table was determined by fractions of points. David the Cat
with XIII LO in Szczecin scored 91.7 points,
which guaranteed him a place in an elite group of gold medal winners.
The scale of the difficulties is demonstrated by the fact that the difference between
Polish typical and close podium was marginal, which confirms that Polish students
set global standards present
