Sudden decision by the head of the Prison Service. This is simply a reaction to the tragedy in Krakow

After the execution of a doctor at the University infirmary in Krakow, the manager general of the Prison Service, Colonel Andrzej Pecka, decided to place himself at the disposal of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The assailant turned out to be an officer of the Prison Service, which provoked immediate reactions from the Ministry of Justice. The fact that the murderer of the doctor was an officer of the Prison Service was announced at a press conference on Tuesday by the Minister of Justice, Adam Bodnar. He besides announced that he would submit a motion to the Prime Minister to dismiss Colonel Pecka from the position of head of the Prison Service. In his opinion, a "new beginning" is needed in the structures of this formation. In consequence to the minister's announcements, Colonel Andrzej Pecka placed himself at the disposal of the head of the government. The final decision on his possible dismissal rests with Donald Tusk. More information soon.
