Emergency decision of the Chief of Prison Service. It's a reaction to the tragedy in Kraków

Following the execution of a doctor at the Kraków University Hospital, General manager of the Prison Service, Colonel Andrzej Pecka decided to release Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The attacker turned out to be an SW officer, which triggered immediate reactions from the Ministry of Justice.


On Tuesday, Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar reported that the perpetrator of the doctor's execution was a Prison Service officer. He besides announced that he would apply to the Prime Minister for the cancellation of Colonel. Pecks from the position of head of SW. In his opinion, a "new opening" is needed in the structures of this formation.

In consequence to the Minister's announcements, Colonel Andrzej Pecka made himself available to the Head of Government. The final decision about his possible appeal is made by Donald Tusk.
