That ketchup will vanish from the restaurant. The EU has introduced fresh restrictions since 12 August 2026.

The Green Deal is increasingly entering everyday life. From 2026, more disposable packaging will begin to vanish from bars, restaurants and petrol stations, including plastic ketchup sachets, mayonnaise and another sauces. This is only the first phase of change – further restrictions are due to apply until 2030.
