Submarines for Australia: 5 times more costly and twice as long

Australia intends to allocate more than $245 billion in US dollars over the next 30 years to buy and build up to a twelve atomic submarines under the global AUKUS pact. The construction of 12 classical Attack/Barracuda submarines in its own shipyards was to cost 5 times little and run at least a twelve years shorter.
