The first in the past of Polish military education is being created, in which future officers of the Military Gendarmerie will be educated. The Army Academy has already launched recruitment. “This is simply a consequence to the rapidly changing safety challenges and the increasing function of the Military Gendarmerie in the Polish Army,” says Colonel Tomasz Kajzer, Chief of Police.
In autumn Land Army Academy General Tadeusz Kościuszko in Wrocław will launch the military specialization of the Military Police. It is simply a five-year survey where 30 places on 3 military specialities are prepared: investigative, operational, and preventive.
– This is simply a breakthrough decision and consequence to the dynamically changing safety challenges and the increasing function of the Military Gendarmer in the Polish Army. The emergence of fresh specialities for future MPs is part of the process of modernising military education, says Col Tomasz KajzerChief Chief Military Police. As he estimates, this means fresh improvement opportunities for candidates, and well-prepared and specialized staff for the Military Police.
According to Colonel Paweł Durka, Head of the KGŻW Training Division, the investigative and investigative specialty will prepare future officers of the Żandarmeria to carry out procedural activities in criminal matters and to cooperate with another collection authorities. In turn, the speciality of prevention will focus on patrol, convoy, prevention and traffic. “The operational and exploratory speciality will, on the another hand, focus on the fight against crime, criminal analysis and another actions supporting the safety of the armed forces,” Colonel Durka points out.
The call for a fresh direction continues. Candidates can already registry on the recruitment portal of the Polish Army. Those who do this are directed to intellectual tests. Following the publication of the results, the recruitment process scheduled for the 3rd week of July will begin. The three-day recruitment will include an English language test for persons for whom it was not the subject of a matriculation exam, physical fitness test, interview with a typical of OGM, analysis of the results of the certificate of maturity and medical examination.
Prime Minister Emil Kamiński, liable for coordinating the improvement of a fresh direction's survey plan, informs that the course of teaching in the first year will be common to all subjects in the direction of command. – The second year will besides cover a subject dedicated to future officers of the Military Gendarmerie, but in the same time dimension and subject to all 3 specialities," the officer explains.
– From the 3rd year onwards, there will be a diversification of the subject in relation to the different specialities of the service. The Podchorzyżes will have classes in law, operating procedures, widely understood preventive activities and the safety of military operations in and outside the country – says Colonel Kamiński.
Particular emphasis will be placed on specialised preparation and emergency response. A five-year training program will besides include applicable training at the Military Gendarmerie Training Centre and the ZW Field Units in addition to theoretical classes at the AWL.
