A stream of cash flows to Russia despite sanctions

Russia has been severely hit by sanctions since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, mainly directed at its defence industry. Despite sanctions, Russian companies proceed to supply equipment and weapons, and the payment for the cargo supplied goes to Russia in cash form. According to Nordsint's analysis, based on customs data from private aggregators, from 2022 to Russia was thus delivered cash with a weight exceeding a tonne.
