This week a subcommittee gathering was held in the Sejm for the modernisation and improvement of services under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Administration. This time, the committee bent over the modernisation needs of the Border defender with peculiar emphasis on interior borders. "In view of the situation on the east border, as well as **from Poland's entry into Schengen in 2007**, the majority of investments, the request for the acquisition of equipment concentrated on the east border", she noted at a gathering of the Deputy manager of the Department of Public Order at the Ministry of abroad Affairs Renata Leoniak. As she added, the interior frontier requires "now besides attention, greater interest and retrofitting".
