U.S. National Defence Strategy: Homeland safety and Indo-Pacific Force Balance

On January 23, the U.S. Department of War (Defence) published the National defence strategy (NDS) – a paper setting priorities for Pentagon activities for the following years. It confirms the provisions of the December 2025 National safety Strategy, focusing on interior safety and the Western Hemisphere. Second place puts the balance of power in the Indo-Pacific region at a favourable level for the United States, which is to avoid confrontation with China.
