Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel assured on Thursday on the program "Phoenix Persoenlich" that she did not hold Poland and the Baltic countries jointly liable for Russia's attack on Ukraine. According to Merkel, circulating suggestions on this subject are "fake news", and a quote from her autobiography "Freedom" was ripped out of context.
