Prime Minister Donald Tusk extended the BRAVO and BRAVO-CRP alert stages throughout Poland to 31 May 2026 and the CHARLIE level on selected railway lines - the Government safety Centre reported. The decision is linked to the continuing increased level of threats, including erstwhile acts of sabotage aimed at railway infrastructure.
Extended: 2. BRAVO Hazard Level and 2. BRAVO-CRP Hazard Level, which is valid throughout the country, and the 2nd degree of threat to the Polish energy infrastructure located outside the borders of the Republic of Poland.
The Prime Minister's order was besides extended CHARLIE 3rd level alert in railway lines areas managed by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA and PKP Wyschootorowa Sp. z o.o.
Alarm stages in Poland
The last of the alarm stages was introduced after sabotage operations on the Polish railway last November. CHARLIE alarm phase - the 3rd on a four-stage increasing scale - is so far the highest in Poland. It means, among another things, the introduction of on-calls, including those liable for procedures for terrorist incidents.
BRAVO-CRP is the second of the 4 alert stages specified in the Act on Action anti-terrorism. This means that public administration is required to carry out enhanced monitoring of the safety of ICT systems.

The BRAVO alarm phase (second on a four-stage scale) shall be introduced in the event of an increased and foreseeable threat of terrorist occurrence. This means that the services have information about a possible threat and so public administration is committed to maintaining peculiar vigilance - explained RCB.
"In the course of the emergency stage, you shouldpay peculiar attention to any different situations and possible risks, for example: abnormally behaved people, packages, bags or backpacks left unattended in public places, cars (especially transport) parked close places of assembly" - reminds the government.
Emergency stages shall introduce, amend and cancel, by order, The Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers after consulting the Minister liable for Home Affairs and the Head of the interior Affairs and, in cases of urgency, the Minister liable for Home Affairs after consulting the Head of the interior Affairs, informing the Prime Minister immediately.
