Actress Joanna Szczepkowska regularly posts her political thoughts on social media. any time ago, she insulted president Karol Nawrocki, calling him "cham". Before the theatre in Lębork, where the performance was played, supporters of the president from the Polish paper Clubs arrived. Protesters demanded that Szczepkowska apologise to the President. I'm certain that's what she expected. She described the case on Facebook.
I don't have much time until 11:00, due to the fact that after the performance in Lębork we were going back to Reda. Yes, I went to those protesters against me, from the Polish paper Clubs. They even came from Słupsk, but it was a very tiny group, truly a pity for these 3 police cars and the City Guard. I was just in rehearsal, erstwhile they got together and I could hear cheers and speeches. It was about me and “Wałęs – Bolku”, by the way
— she reported the situation in her Facebook entry Joanna Szczepkowska.
The thing is, they were addressing me at those speeches. “Mrs. Joanna” – they said and it was hard to focus on the rehearsal, so I yet went out to them. I always presume it's worth talking about, and it's not a slogan from me. I said first that I came here to work and for the viewers, then that I had respect for demonstrations, and it was good that they could do so, due to the fact that I, under the Law and Justices, wanted to demonstrate, too, but the authorities put up barriers and full police cordons, so it couldn't. Then I calmly said that I did not respect Karol Nawrocki, and they did not respect Lech Wałęsa. Then the screams began that Wałęsa was Bolek, and the chants began, "excuse the President" and they took a microphone from me, and erstwhile I got inside, they shouted something like, "I went out just to insult them."
— said Szczepkowska.
Before the show, I went to the audience for the first time in my life to apologize for the discomfort of the audible shouts. So, to sum up, it's truly a waste of time and energy for the police to be able to aid or catch a thief. I greet the gentlemen of the City defender who waved very friendlyly to me, and I greet them. By the way, it's a shame that alternatively of demonstrating, there weren't those people in the hall where we played with Dorothy Landowska, due to the fact that from this play they would learn more about themselves and about how I feel about our interpersonal divisions.
