U.S. president Donald Trump's administration will launch a website next week to sale "golden cards" worth $5 million that supply their holders with a permanent stay in the country," said U.S. Department of Commerce chief Howard Lutnick.
"I anticipate a website called Trumpcard.gov will be created within about a week," he said during the Axios event in Washington, D.C., commenting on the upcoming launch of a "gold card" website by US authorities.
As the authoritative explained, the online resource will initially let everyone to register, confirming their interest in buying 1 of these cards.
Lutnick added that the sale of "golden cards" would aid the US government rise funds to pay off rising public debt.
"Basically, everyone I meet, who is not an American, shows interest in buying this card, if he has specified a financial opportunity," said the minister.
Trump had previously announced the launch of a related program, and in early April revealed a "gold card" that would give wealthy abroad investors the chance to get a $5 million residence licence in the country.
