On 1 of Moscow subway stations, a relief depicting Józef Stalin was unveiled. This is an ideological motion – summarized 1 of the researchers of russian architecture Aleksandr Zinowjew.
According to the assumptions, the relief was to be a replica of the work, which until 1966 was located at Tagańska station and was destroyed during the subway expansion. The point is that the “new old” relief has different colors and details, it is besides made of another materials than the original. However, from the position of the principals, this is not important: the most crucial thing is that in the center is the immense figure of Stalin as the savior of the nations, through which she was defeated by the 3rd Reich.
An expert in russian architecture Alexander Zinowyev has no illusions that the action is an ideological demonstration.
