Spiritual adoption of the conceived child. A prayer that saves lives!

Dear Friends of Life!

A large prayer for life is urgently needed! – this call of St. John Paul II from the Encyclical Evangelium vitae We want to encourage you, dear friends, to undertake a peculiar prayer of spiritual adoption of the conceived child. Taking under the spiritual care of a peculiar child, known by name only to God, during his prenatal development, is an expression of the unselfish gift of the heart, human solidarity and maturity of our humanity.

Daily prayer and voluntary spiritual sacrifice call upon the kid to defend him from the dangers of pregnancy, especially abortion, as well as a rich blessing in his further life. We intercede for his parents to bravely overcome all difficulties and lovingly accept their conceived child.

Such spiritual companionship can be undertaken by any person, regardless of age and state of life. However, the participation of children requires careful preparation and should always be carried out under the watchful eye of parents.

This form of prayer is especially recommended to spouses who have experienced prenatal violence.

Spiritual adoption can be initiated privately, at any time, by individual refusal of a pledge. However, there are places where priests give the chance to make a promise publicly: most frequently in parishes, in selected celebrations and liturgical holidays. Only 1 kid is cared for spiritually. After completing the nine-month novelna, we can adopt the next kid and do so many times in our lives.

The candidate undertakes to regular refuse for a period of 9 months dozens of rosary along with a prayer of spiritual adoption. Depending on individual possibilities, the candidate accepts for the kid and his parents Holy Communion, undertakes sacrifices, deeds of mercy, additional prayers. He besides continues prayer persistently erstwhile he forgets to refuse it on peculiar days. In that case, it does not start the novelna again.

Dear Friends of Life! Prayer is the first task of life defender and is central to the efficiency of pro-life environments. Persevering prayerful commitment allows us to experience the beauty of spiritual parenting, to delight in the miracle of life developing under the heart of the mother, to form the attitude of gratitude and worship toward God, the Creator and the Giver of life.
