
On Saturday, May 17, as part of the nationwide action “Night of Museums” we invitation all those willing to visit the Polish Parliament building. We are waiting for you from 7:00 to 24:00.
The tour will lead through more and little celebrated places. The subject of the walk will be the period of the interwar 20th, including the beginning of the construction of the Hall of Parliament meetings in 1925. Visitors will have an chance to look closely at the architectural details of the Hall of Meetings, get acquainted with the past and modernity of this unique place, whose form refers to the ancient amphitheater and Pantheon. For this occasion, archive photographs of the Parliament Hall of Meetings from the 1920s and 1930s will be presented, showing a position earlier and today.
Each individual visiting the Sejm will receive a commemorative folder telling about the destiny of the semi-rounding Hall of Parliament Meetings.
In addition, the position of the Virtual Theatre of past will be located outside the building of the Sejm – "History 1917-1925. The magic and enthusiasm of the reborn Republic, large pictures of leading Polish photographers from 100 years ago".
Guests of Night Museums are besides invited to a sweet treat, educational culinary workshops (kitchens of the 1920s and 1930s) performed by the Museum in Wilanów and to a dance and song show “Old Warsaw” performed by the Promyka Folk Dance Team.
Visitors will be waiting for a retro cafe with exhibits, including a turntable with a tube, telephone, typewriter and a screen on which films about interwar Poland will be displayed. The stereoscopic positions will besides feature three-dimensional photographs of Warsaw from the 1920s and 1930s.
Among the attractions there will besides be: a photographic atelier – a photographic corner with immediate photograph printout, an exhibition of old cameras, reconstruction workshops (printshop), large format puzzles and QUIZ seismic with awards.
When going to the Sejm, visitors should have their identity card with them and be prepared for pyrotechnic checks. The entrance will be through the 4/6/8 Wiejska Street Department of Passes of the Chancellery of the Sejm.
