South Korean authorities are expanding the operational area of the Cheonghae anti-piracy unit. Its ships will take action in the waters south of Oman, close the strategical Strait of Hormuz. Korean forces will send a patrol plane and a sapper squad there, Yonhap news agency reported on Thursday, citing government sources in Seoul.
