South Africa a base for Russian icebreakers exploring Antarctica

The Akademik Fedorov, the flagship of Russia's polar fleet, entered Cape Town on Tuesday, from where, after replenishing supplies, it will head to the shores of Antarctica, where the Kremlin is searching for gas and oil and where another scientists from the BRICS group are already heading.
