Sony Crystal LED enters "S size". fresh series of modular video walls for bright interiors

If 85 inches on the BRAVIA monitor isn't enough, Sony has another proposal: build yourself the screen you want. The fresh Crystal LED S module series (ZRD-S12G and ZRD-S15G models) enters the marketplace with a brightness of 800 rivets and a promise that the sun falling into the lobby will not spoil the effect.

Scale to your will

DvLED technology (Direct View LED) differs from classical TVs by the fact that the screen is built from smaller elements (so-called cabs). This allows the display to be of any form and size – from a standard panorama to giant information strips that extend throughout the corridor.

Sony introduces 2 fresh pixel pitch modules:

• ZRD-S12G: place 1.25 mm (to be viewed close up).
• ZRD-S15G: place 1.56 mm (to somewhat larger distances).

The key feature of the S series is advanced brightness – 800 cd/m2 – and the first Sony image processing. The company promises that the colors will look natural (including skin shades) and black will stay deep even in heavy illuminated office or commercial spaces. It responds to the common problem of LED walls, which in a bright environment lose contrast and become as if milky.

Lighter, sparing and... curved

Sony She learned her lessons in ergonomics and ecology:

• Less weight: The fresh modules are about 20% lighter than the erstwhile C series, which facilitates installation on plaster and cardboard walls.
• Savings: they consume 25% little power than the BH series.
• Flexibility: modules can be connected at an angle, creating curved screens, which interior architects will surely love.
• Service from the front: in case of failure of 1 pixel or module, access to it is from the front – you do not request to remove the full wall or leave the service corridor behind the screen.

Availability

New Crystal LED Series S will be sold at the end of spring 2026.
