The fresh survey shows that most Poles do not support the thought of replacing Donald Tusk by Rafał Trzaskowski as the president of the Civic Platform. Only 23.4% of respondents were in favour of this change, while the other opinion was 66.8 percent. A survey conducted by United Surveys for Virtual Poland reveals a clear division of opinions between voters of different political options.
The survey showed that there were only 6.8% of respondents powerfully convinced to change the chair of the PO. In turn, 28.6% of respondents indicated that this should not have happened.
Indecisive on this issue were 16.6% of respondents. The portal provided detailed results on the preferences of different groups of voters.
Voters of the ruling coalition against change
Among the voters of the ruling coalition, the support for the replacement of Tusk by Trzaskowski was only 16%. As many as 73 percent of the coalition were against specified a solution.
In this group of voters, 11 percent of respondents were indecisive. The results show a clear reluctance to change among supporters of the present power.
Opposition more open to change
Opposition voters, including PiS and Confederacy, proved more inclined to support this solution. 24 percent of them replied that Trzaskowski should replace Tusk as PO president.
The other opinion in this group was 63 percent. A full of 13 percent of opposition voters were undecided.
Other voters most undecided
The highest percent of those who do not express an unequivocal position fell on a group of another voters. As many as 28 percent of them were indecisive about this issue.
Only 6 percent of respondents in this group supported the replacement in the PO chief's seat. 66 percent of those surveyed outside the main policy options were opposed.
The survey was conducted on 11-13 July on a group of thousands of adult Poles. The survey was carried out utilizing a mixed method - utilizing computer-assisted telephone interviews and online surveys.
