Poland has been building (or alternatively restoring) its multilayered air defence capabilities for respective years. Unfortunately, this construction was carried out starting with the “roof” – i.e. the most technologically advanced and most costly capabilities. That is, from the Vistula program and the acquisition of the latest version of Patriot systems along with the IBCS system. This task was culminated in the transportation of 2 (double) Patriot batteries, and it is only in the next fewer years that six more are to be put into service. In addition, investments were made in national very short-range systems: MANPADS-class Lightning, Pilica barrel and rocket systems (23 mm cannon plus Lightning) and Poprad mobile systems with quadruple Lightning rocket launchers. However, these systems were developed to cover air bases and another facilities (Pilica), as well as to self-shields of moving troops (Poprad Lightning). 2 tiny batteries of small Narva (with short-range CAMM ground-air missiles) appeared.
