The Kremlin says it has no information on the causes of his death. Nawalny died in Criminal Institution No. 3 in the Russian Autonomous territory of Jamalsko-Niecki.
The message states that Nawalny felt bad after walking on Friday and almost immediately passed out. Despite the doctors' call, he was incapable to be rescued. The origin of his death has not yet been established, although Russian propaganda channel RT reports that the man suffered a blood clot.

Navalny, who in the past organized mass protests against Russian authorities, was arrested in January 2021 after returning to Russia from Germany, where he was treated after an attempted poisoning. He was faced with further criminal cases that combined resulted in more than 30 years of imprisonment.
The Kremlin's consequence to information about Navalny's death includes an announcement of control by the national Prison Service (FSIN), as announced by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Pieskov. Navalny's lawyer, Leonid Solovyov, refused to comment at the request of the opposition family. According to him, Navalny's lawyer's visit was average on Wednesday.
