Slovakia restores the fact about man: only 2 sexes and a natural family

Slovakia has just become history. Parliament in Bratislava adopted an amendment to the Constitution, in which the state officially recognises only 2 sexes – male and female. This amendment besides restricts the right to adopt only for marriages of women and men, and prohibits alleged replacement pregnancies.

The government of Prime Minister Robert Fico called it "the triumph of conventional values" and "the defence of the country's moral sovereignty". Critics, including Amnesty International, considered the decision to be a "dramatic step backwards in human rights". Well, at a time erstwhile household defence and designation of 2 sexes are considered controversial, a ‘step backwards' can simply mean a return to common sense.

Although the vote seemed uncertain until the last minute, the amendment was yet supported by 90 Members – precisely as many as the Slovak constitution requires. Even part of the opposition, unexpectedly, advocated change.

Prime Minister Fico didn't cover his triumph. "It is not a tiny barrier – it is simply a large barrier against progressiveism," he said, celebrating the result of the vote.

Two sexes – or discovery to the degree of the 21st century

The fresh law leaves no doubt: Slovakia acknowledges that man can be either a man or a woman. At a time erstwhile any effort to multiply genders faster than they can call them, this discovery sounds almost revolutionary.

This law does not introduce anything new. Rather, it restores the order of things, reminds us of the fact that generations have understood for centuries. In a planet where it is increasingly trying to convince itself that identity can be chosen as the colour of the shirt, Slovakia says decisively “no”. due to the fact that sex is not a substance of fashion, but of God's purpose. There is no place for half means here – man was created “man and woman”, and that is adequate for life to make so that there is simply a family, so that love has meaning. It is simple, yet so profoundly true, that that is why many are trying to undermine it today.

A kid needs a parent and a father – not an ideology

The next point of the bill clearly states that adoption will only be possible in marriages made up of women and men. Not from ideology, but from caring for a child. As Prime Minister Robert Fico recalled, “a kid needs a parent and a father, not an ideology.”

This is not discrimination, but a return to the fact about a household that has been a place where life is born and love matures. In a planet that is increasingly trying to turn paternity and motherhood into abstract "social roles", Slovakia recalls that a kid is not a social experiment, but a gift – and has the right to a natural home, where there is simply a motherly warmth and fatherly strength.

Europe looks with concern – Slovakia with dignity

The amendment besides contains a evidence which already gives emergence to emotions in European capitals: in matters of "national identity, culture and ethics", national law prevails over EU law.

It is simply a clear signal that Slovakia wants to decide its own moral and worldview issues, without instruction from Brussels.

For many it is an act of courage – a reminder that the peoples of Europe have the right to defend their roots, religion and culture, alternatively of submitting to the dictatorship of ideology. Of course, there are voices informing against "conflict with the Union" or even sanctions. But it might be worth asking: is it truly Slovakia that is leaving Europe, or is Europe that is leaving its Christian foundations?
